I far will i have to push my venice 3000+ to meet the performace of a 4000+?

Im guessing like 2.58-2.60

you could obtain the same clock, but you cant overclock you cache. so never really(i think, still only dable)

I read somewhere the extra cache was approximately equal to a 200mhz bump, so you could use that as an estimate.

isnt the cache the what is overclocked when you overclock a CPU? cause that where all the handled data goes is it not?

2.4 is about that of an fx53/4000+ a little more cause you only have half the cache

Well, the cache is on-die so its running at the same speed as the core itself. The more you O/C the faster it goes

as for the original question, Maybe around 2.5Ghz or around, in reality an overclocked PC is generally faster than a stock one runing at the same clock speed, because of the extra memory bandwidth the overclocked one has.
