Zalman cooler.

Try the SuperPi mod which does milliseconds too. Exit ALL other applications aside from cpu-z, superpi, and asusprobe or whatever it is. You'll get better superpi tiems.
 
Looks good to me :cool: Do you know what the production week and stepping are so we can get a better idea of what it is capable of. It definetely has a lot more left in it.

And definetely use super pi mod 1.4 or mod 1.5
 
Where would i find production week? I just installed it brand new a few hours ago.
got a zalman on it with arctic silver 5 whatever it is
 
oohhh... The production week is labeled on the cpu itself.

So for example:

ADA3200DIK4BI
CBBHD 0445VPMW
1140407K40048

So that would be a socket 939, Athlon64 3200+.

CBBHD 0445VPMW is the stepping, and week. So this one is CBBHD stepping, 45'th week of 04. So, october or november of 04.

The last line, it's a serial number. In this case, number 0048 of the batch.
 
oh, is there any other place to find it? i really dont feel like taking off my cooler then scraping off all the thermal grease then have to put it back on. :(
 
motherboard and cpu both idle at about 36' C, and when under load, the cpu goes up to about 47-50 C, Are those temps good?

Nowhere else to find it. After awhile you get used to recording the stepping/week of the chip before installing anything. ;)
 
well i would guess it would be fairly new, because i ordered it with the new price drop from amd. But im not positive how long ago it would have been made. It seems to be running very stable at about 2.65 but seems to be getting a little weird if i go any higher.
 
It is possible for stores to carry/hold older stock...and since the stepping/week of the CPU reference back to manufacturing dates it's kinda hard to guess without poppin' that HSF off. :cool:
