what is the rating based on and how does the incriments work
 
THe final rating is based off whatever item got the lowest score.. In the laptop that would likely be the centrino or the hdd

Centrino is not a processor. Centrino is a marketing phrase that refers to a combination of an Intel CPU, Intel chipset and an Intel wireless adapter. The processors are known as Pentium M's or the Core series.

But you are correct that the rating is the lowest score, I just wanted to clear up that misconception.
