I'm working on a site re-design and have been looking around for inspiration. I was looking at newegg's site and how they deal with multiple resolutions.
Its really cool IMO....look at their mainpage, then drag your browser smaller. See how @1280x1024 they have 4 products wide, but at around 800x600 they only have 2 products wide? I really like that.
I just don't know how they do it. Do they use layers? I don't know much about layers but that would make sense. Put those center products on the back layer and the rest of the page on the top layer. Something like that.
Please educate me. I want my new site to be far more functional and pretty than my current site.
If you want to see my current site you can go to www.upupandawaykites.com .
The new site will be using OSCmax 2.0 as the front, and PHPnuke for our store's club. I will likely be asking for more help and advice in the future but we'll deal with that when it comes.
Thanks!
Greg
