I don't have a computer right now...

So I am going to build this machine...

Shuttle mATX mobo
512mb Corsair XMS pc2700
2500+ non overclocked
ti 4200 128mb

Then... by this winter once prices fall, I will go with socket 939 and a 6800 ultra or something like that...

Sound good? or should I just go all out now?

Thank you!

If you wait til winter, then something will be better than teh 6800 then and you will be asking yourself if you should wait again, I say get near top of the line (radeon 9800 and similar stuff) now and be happy for a year

I would build a system to get me by for now until pci express becomes more standard. Also wait for the new s939 boards.

512 MB of memory would be good for desktop work but if you game a lot go to 1 GB.

Get the 9800. They're will be definantly something new announced by Christmas time.
