I understand what mantle does but not how to get it to work.
I have an MSI 280x 3gb OC with Catalyst14.11.2 Beta running on win7-64.
Do I need to install anything else?
Do I need to change any setting in the software or games that support it?

Not a very long list of supported games. The only one I have is Sims 4 and I haven't found any way to turn it on or if it is a future feature.

Mantle is an API that MUST be incorporated into the code of the game you are playing. Unless the game supports mantle you do nothing and can do nothing to enable it. It will show in the game video options if the game supports it.

Well it has only been around for around a year and is still in beta so it's not expected to have a long list of games. List is growing though. Some big titles that use it are Civ: Beyond Earth, BF4, Dragon Age 3. In my experience to turn it on is as simple as going into the options menu for the game and choosing it as your API.
