I am considering doing the vdroop mod on my Asus P5E-VM HDMI mobo. As it is (without the vdroop mod), when I set my voltage to 1.35 in the BIOS, when the CPU is idle, it reports and actual voltage of 1.32, and on full load it reports the voltage as 1.27.
My question is - if I do the vdroop mod and put my voltage at say 1.32, will my temps increase as a result of the voltage remaining higher when the CPU is on full load? Right now I have my E8400 OCed to 3.7GHz at 1.35vcore, and being in a SFF case my cooling options are limited and temps are already at a high enough point on full load that I don't want to raise the vcore anymore. Will doing the vdroop mod allow me to raise my OC higher on a lower voltage and possibly lower temps or at least keep them the same?
Thanks for any info.
