I installed XP x64 and I never use it so I want to delete it. It is on its own 20gb partition on my 100gb drive. Right now everytime I boot it ask me which of the 2 OS's (XP Pro and XP x64) I want to run. How do i uninstall x64 and get the merge to 20gb back with the rest of the space on the drive?

To uninstall: delete the partition. Can be done in Windows' Admin Tools. (Comp Mgmt -> Disk Mgmt)

To reclaim:
(1) Windows native: recreate the partition
(2) 3rd Party Software: use PartitionMagic to merge.

PartitionMagic will allow you to resize the existing 80 GB to use the full 100 GB of the drive. However, you'll have to delete the 20 GB partition first (which can be done in PartitionMagic or Disc Manager). You'll also have to edit the boot.ini file.

These instructions are assuming the 80GB partition comes first on the drive. If the 20 GB is first, you may have to run a fixmbr from the XP32 CD to get the drive bootable again.
