I'm switching out my motherboard, have a Cooler 212+ installed

can't seem to remove the backplate/screws for some reason. tried to turn one off, seems to have removed some of the coating on the mobo :'(

haven't attempted the other 3 yet

EDIT: after smoothing out the raised resin with my finger, it looks okay(i.e. no copper traces were exposed/broken)

#could be better design

I think the 212+ screws have some kind of adhesive on the bottom. I got the same residue when removing mine.

heat it up with a hair drier.. should come off pretty easily after that..

take a wrench hold the nut and screw other side. same problem with my 212 the adhesive came off when i overtightened
