Just bought a house, and the 3rd bedroom will become my computer room/office.. I have installed a Turtle Beach Catalina sound card (7.1) and will be buying a 5.1 speaker system. I want to mount the satellite speakers up in the corners of the wall/ceiling, but not sure how to run the wires without them being obvious and ugly. What do you guys do to get a clean look with speaker wires? I guess I could get up into the attic and run the wires through the walls, but that seems like a real PITA

I know a lot of people hate monster but I use their speaker wire... the flat stuff. I really like that stuff, it doesnt look too bad on the walls either. They clips for the walls to hold the wires up too. Just a suggestion, but the wire does get sort of expensive.

I guess I was asking what methods people use to hide the wiring so it's a clean install?

I'm considering putting crown molding in the room, then running the wire behind the crown molding.. any other ideas?

A couple things I do in new installs, behind trim, under carpet(no high traffic areas), behind molding. But the way I do it with stereos is I cut a hole for a receptical behind the system, then use a box with terminal connections, and I run my wires using a snake to where they need to be. But tapestry on the walls works, clear speaker wire if possible, plants. If you're not going to run the wire through the walls or behind trim, it's really kind of hard to not notice them. If it's drywall, you could put the wire in corners, put mudding tape over it, then mud them into the corners, sand the corners so they don't look too bad.
