I'm getting an amb 2400+ processor in my new computer and I was wondering how I could over clock it to get a little more out of it.
 
Basically there are two ways. If you have a mobile processor you can increase the multiplier of the CPU, speeding up the processor. You can also increase the speed of the memory bus, which generally translates into higher general speeds. You increase either one by entering the BIOS and adjusting the settings, provided your motherboard allows you to do so.

You are going to want to ensure that you have adequate cooling for you CPU and you case, since OC'ing results in higher overall temperatures which can damage your components. There are general guides available on the Internet, which you can find through a Google search. Or just ask here.

When you start up your computer, you hit Delete or sometimes something like F12 to get into the BIOS. You should see a message at the bottom of the screen just as you turn on your computer telling you what key to press. That'll get you into the BIOS.
 
go to overclockers.com and click the beginners guide, they helped me a while back.

Yeah. If I ever want to get into the BIOS, I just mash the delete key repeatedly during bootup. It gets in eventually. :D
