how do you know if crysis is running in dx10 or dx9 ?

If you are running Vista it runs DX10 if you're running XP it runs DX9. You can force Dx9 in Vista if needed.

when you are playing the game just look in the game settings and if Very High is available as an option then you know you are in DX10. if you run the game in DX9 then Very High wont be available in the settings.
