I want to start playing some PC games on my Mac. I have Red Alert 3, Orange Box, Counter-Strike Source.. all waiting to be played. I have a 20" iMac Core 2 Duo 2.4ghz, with a ATI 2600 256mb card. Will it runs these games alright?

My question is, how do you install XP on a Mac.. and it only takes XP and not Vista right? Do I need an actual XP CD? How much HD space should I use?

Vista will work fine and is actually recommended. Of course whatever OS you decide to go with, you will have to buy it. I suggest you read the guide on the official page Cyant posted.

Do you know how these games will perform?

My friend has an older-gen MacBook Pro. He had no problems playing Bioshock, so I imagine that none of the games you listed will be remotely problematic.

A mac is a PC. Installing Windows on your Mac is just like installing Windows on any other PC except Apple has bootcamp to allow for easier dual-booting plus it includes all of the necessary drivers.

The point? The games will perform as good as your hardware is, just like a PC.

At work we use VMware's VM fusion and it allows you to use both PC and Mac at the same time. It also uses the Boot Camp partion so you can still go back to using either one or the other. You might wantto check that out too.

Yeah, but you will not want to try and run games that way... It is handy if you need to hop on a Windows box and do something quickly though.

ya, games need the actual video card drivers to work, not emulated VMware stuff.
