How do you disable your friend from writing on your facebook wall w/o unfriend him

I know it can be done, but I don't know how, any1?

i.e., you keep him as your friend's status, but he can't write on your wall

You can click the little x next to his post and select "hide all post from xxx".
I've had to do this to 1 person recently as I didn't want to argue over his beliefs on FB and I didn't want to see it on my wall, yes I'm friends with him IRL too.
