I have an opteron 170 that is 200 x 10=2000mhz. I am trying to overclock but nothing is seems to be stable, i've tried 2.6ghz, 2.65ghz, and 2.7 with different voltages ranging from 1.475 to 1.525. For some reason I can't get it stable. temps are only 41-42 load at these speeds so i don't think temp is an issue. I've decided to do the gradual approach, but am unsure how to do this. Do I keep the stock voltage and see how high the fsb will go without failing. But failing what is the question? Prime95? I don't want to overclock the memory and i want to get up to around 2.6ghz. Can someone help me as to what I would do to find a failry high stable overclock.
