how do u "check" a LCD?

i just got a LCD TV for my other PC, and i just want to know how is it you check for dead pixels, and color burn (is that the right term?) and backlight bleeding, that kind of stuff. thanks

If you cant see any flaws then i wouldnt look for them. Thats just my opinion though. "dont fix it if its not broken" kind of thing. I dont know of any tests though so gonna have to wait for someone else to post. Good luck =)

set your background to pure white and look.

Not always. I have a LCD with a dead pixel that can show all 3 colors, but can't stop showing red. So it only shows up on dark backgrounds.
