Holiday cheers.

Anyways I got Logitech x-530's 5.1 surround speakers. Here is my problem

I am only getting sounds to come out of two speakers by putting the green connector into the reg mobo audio imput is its only 2 speakers making noise.

My motherboard came with a 5.1 multimedia card

I plugged in everything where its suppose to go and I cant get sound from all the speaker!? Do I need to connect that multimedia card to something other than the slot I put it into???

Thanks in advance.

Check your speaker settings in windows. If it's set to stereo, there's your problem. Also, what source are you using for sound? mp3 audio is stereo by nature.

Doom3, hl2 are sources.

I checked Windows and its set to 5.1 speaker (I didnt set that myself so it must of done it automatically)

The 5.1 card has three little slots, a green a black a odd slot that is white.

I think these need to connect to the mobo but I dont know where to get the cables for them.
