Someone just gave me a Compaq P110 CRT monitor. From what I read in a quick Google search, it's a 21" with 19.8" viewable. It's a nice step up from the 17" Dell CRT I was using and it's conveniant that I received it because I just bought a new computer (the one in my signature) and I was about to get an LCD. Could someone tell me if this is a good monitor?

Also, how do I test and see how good the colors, ect. are on it? I'd like to do that since it looks a little old and well used. Every now and then the the sides of the screen will flick in and then back out (there's probably a term for this but I don't know it) quickly, but it's not bothering me too bad. I'm too busy enjoying enormous boost in screen realestate!

Thanks for reading!

I'm not familiar with that monitor, but perhaps it's slowly going, and that's why this person just gave it to you. It might not have a lot of life left in her.

Maybe so but I'll probably use it on this PC or another until it dies.

Is there anyone out there who's familiar with this monitor?

Also, is there anyone who could tell me some tests I can perform to make sure that it's colors are still accurate? I want to use it for photo editing.

Thanks!
