How do I stay logged on to XP Pro?

I built a new box and installed XP Pro with 3 user accounts. The problem is that XP logs me off after a period of inactivity. I want to stay logged on until I log off.

Another weird deal is that if XP logs me off and the computer sits for a few hours, sometimes when I want to get going again, my background appears with no icons on it and it won't respond to anything but "pushing the button". If I stay logged in I figure this problem will go away.

I would take a look at the main problem, instead of worrying about being logged out. As for the log on situation, go into your power options and the screen saver options, and set them as you want them.
 
The power options have been addressed already. (All options set at "Never".)

I did, however, in the screensaver section, find the option for "On resume, display Welcome screen". I de-selected that and maybe that's what logs me out (or so it seems). Maybe that will help.
