Ok, I read a bunch of stuff about setting up a BF server. I just want to set up a small one for my friends and what not. I dled BF Server client 1.5 and the server manager v2.0beta 3j. Now the only problem is that I'm confused about my router settings.

The router that I am using is:
http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCatProd...=&Section_Id=201523&pcount=&Product_Id=136514

There are two settings in my firewall, Application Gateways and Virtual Servers. In Application Gateways I have these options:
Trigger Start Port, Trigger End Port, Trigger Type, Public Port, Public Type.

In Virtual Servers I have tehse options:
Description, Inbound port (gives me xxxxxx-xxxxxx), Type, Private IP Address gives me (192.168.2.xxxx), and Private Port (gives me xxxxxx-xxxxxx)

Which one do I use and if I do use that one, what settings do I submit? Thanks, help would be greatly appreciated!

You're gunna want to mess around with Virtual Server.

The default incoming port for Battlefield 1942 is 14567, that's the bare minimum for people to connect (They'll have to know your IP). If you want your server to be listed in the game browser, you'll have to enable a buncha GameSpy-specific ports. See http://www.eagames.com/official/battlefield/1942/us/editorial/serveradminfaq.jsp for more details.

What do I put for Private Port?

put all the private ports the same as public ports in this case. If you ever want to use an alternate port to the internet, you can change the public port in your router without having to touch the server settings.
