Hey guys i got VIVO working and i got the image up, i know how to capture the image but how do i capture the sound from the VCR? What cable do i use to plug in to the sound card?
 
Some fancier sound cards have RCA inputs, such as the Sound Blaster Audigy 4 Pro, but that's $275. You could always mic the speaker for ass sound quality, or use the RCA/Mini jack like SarverSystems suggested.
 
Is RCA a adaptor where i plug in the red and white audio cable in and i plug the RCA adaptor to my MIC socket?

What?

A stereo RCA to minijack adapter is all you need.
The RCA jacks plug into the VCR and the minijack plugs into the line in (not the mic!) on your soundcard.

yes, that is the correct adapter. you will also need a standard male-to-male RCA cable to go from the female RCA-outs on the VCR to the female RCA-in on that adapter cable, but yes that will allow you to plug into a line in. I'm using something very similar right now.
