I searched the forum but didn't find anything on it. So how do I lock my own thread?
 
Sign up for the off topic section. The ability comes with it.

Or, just pm a moderator or admin to close that thread for you
 
There should be a checkbox in advanced edit options.
 
If you are a GenMay subscriber, you can close your own threads, you click on Thread Tools and then Close Thread.

Have to be a GenMay subscriber though.
