By grid.com I'm assuming you mean grid.org, grid.org is the United Devices project, if you're looking to join the team there it's simple, just setup the UD client.

The client setup guide is located here http://www.hardfolding.com/index.php?go=11

Then visit this link and click the "Join this team button"

Sorry, this should be the last question... Okay, so I have my grid.org all set up, do I still need the things from the stanford web site? Or is that just using up unnecessary rescources? Thanks.

There is actually two different projects our team participates in. One is Folding at Home from Stanford University and the other is UD. Most of us participate in Folding at Home program. You don't need both of them. Just choose one. I run Folding at Home.

Check out the FAQ for links to the teams sites for both projects, and it has information on what the team names are to input for which ever project you choose.
