My motherboard has Intel G41 onboard graphics and my monitor accepts both DVI and VGA. At startup, the PC is driving the DVI out and starts loading Windows with the DVI output. Before I installed the Intel Graphics drivers, I was able to use WinXP with the DVI out. But after installing the drivers, it recognized the second output and now always defaults to the analog VGA out. If I go into display properties, select the secondary DVI display as primary and attached, when I try to apply the settings, the screen goes black for a couple seconds then comes back to VGA out. Does anyone know how to get DVI out with the Intel onboard graphics? It works fine in Ubuntu.
