How do I force flash with different board ID's?

I have a 6800go Ultra from a Dell XPS Gen 2 that is bios locked and NV42 board. I can't manually OC the card. I have the video bios from a Sager 9880 with the 6800go Ultra that has a board ID of NV41 and can manually OC. I am using NVFlash 5.10, what is the command to force the bios into the card with a board Missmatch ID?

ya I know I might ruin the card, I don't care

Nevermind close thread got it to force flash and break the card . :rolleyes:
 
Help me here guys, I was looking through the sager 6800 go ultra bios and found this

On the left is the Sager bios and on the right is the Dell bios. If both are ultra cards and the sager bios clearly state NV42 why does it have a board ID of NV41?

What would happen if I matched the sager bios to look like this

Should I also modify the second like so that e275 sk (sager) reads P324 sk (dell)?

Could changing the board ID's on the sager to match the dell make for a successful flash?
 
Yep, Does anyone know that now since the board ID has been chaged to match the dell's... if I was to flash would it work?

can you even boot to do a blind flash? you could make a bootable dos cd with a flash utility and a rom on it.
 
Doesn't past bios POST. What I want to know if that since I changed the board ID now would that make for a successful flash?
 
How would you do a successful flash if you can't pass POST? You could prolly send it back to Dell and say they broke it ;)

Why exactly were you flashing it again? I mean it's already an ultra.. what else could you need but to OC it? And OCing requires no change of ID's... I'm confusled

I dont think changing the board ID would make for a successful flash to a *different* boards BIOS. BIOS tells a board how to communicate with itself, and there are probably many different revisions of the mobile GPUs making one BIOS completely incompatible with another board. You're probably just gonna fack your next one up if you keep trying this... careful!
