So my uncle hooked me up with a demo ATI 5870, but FAH does not recognize it. Any suggestions for me to try? Control panel shows my card as 5800 series and not 5870 specifically. I only think its a 5870 because the report from Everest.

Also, does running the GPU client screw with the SMP client, I'm running an i7 870 at around 2.9 with 4 gigs of ram. Thanks!
 
GPUZ. It should give you detailed info about the card.

The GUP client will suck down some CPU.. I probably wouldn't be running it on an ATI card .. check the PPD differences with HFM.net and see how much it effects your PPD on the SMP client.
 
I'm pretty sure it's a 5870, it's just that it's an engineering sample so I don't think it's showing up right and FAH doesn't recognize it
 
to get a 5xxx ATI card to fold you need to add a -tag to the line, I'm not sure what they are.
 
Add -forcegpu ati_r700 to the command line to run the gpu client on a 5XXX series vid card.
