How do I disable windows security center?

No, there is something you enter in dos to disable icon and the popup crap, I need to know what it is...

Well, if you want to just disable the icon...

Open the Security Center (shield icon).

On the left, click "Change the way Security Center alerts me"

Uncheck them.

Or, if you want to disable them...

Run "services.msc"

Disable "Security Center" and "Windows Firewall"

So there's really no way of getting rid of that icon at the bottom right and being safe?

One other question: If you use NOD32, is it normal for windows to not recognize it in security center?

Nononono

If you disable the stuff, then you're 'unsafe'.

But disabling the icon means disabling the icon.

I don't even use any of that stuff.

I just have NOD32 on and only doing HTTP scanning, nothing else. No firewall, no anti-spyware, etc.

Nothing bad happened to me...

Jeez.

Follow my instructions, and you will be "getting rid of the icon" and still be safe, provided you are running a firewall and A/V in the first place.

All the Security System Alerts do for you is keep an eye out for antivirus software and a firewall, then proceed to alert you when it doesn't detect one or detects one turned off. If you're running A/V that doesn't get detected, then you may want to think again about the A/V software and its compatibility with the OS in the first place.

As far as I know, NOD32 should be detected by Windows. If it is not on your system, I suggest uninstalling it completely, rebooting the machine, and reinstalling. Something did not register properly, which is why Windows is not seeing the install and summarily alerting you about it. Do not disable the thing for working properly.
