How do I disable ERC?

I'm building a PC for my parents, and plan on using an old 250Gb drive I had sitting around collecting dust. It's a Seagate Barracuda ES.2. Will I need to disable ERC, and if so how do I do it?

Doing a google search for the jumper config on that particular drive would be a good start.

I wouldn't worry about it too much... I have a couple ES.2 series drives in my work machine and they haven't caused a problem.

No.

AFAIK it's the same thing as WD's TLER and only matters if you're running a RAID set-up with redundancy.
