How Do I change which OS loads by default?

I have two 2 os's installed on one hard drive accross multiple partitions. At startup however, the OS I last loaded is listed first, and loads unless I manually change it. I would like to change and make the second option the first OS loaded

Some vague idea pulled from somewhere hints at changing the startup data in the mbr... is this what I need to do? If not, what do I need to do? Thanks...

Cross post from Disk Storage.

Are you using a boot-loader (ala GRUB) or are you just using the standard Windows loader? If just the windows, you ought to be able to modify boot.ini (C root > boot.ini > right-click > edit; or right-click My Computer > properties > advanced > startup and recovery > edit system startup). If GRUB or something else, you've moved beyond me.

Yes, first we need to know what bootloader, and preferably what OSes, you are using.

Boot.ini is what I needed to edit. I'm all set, and thanks. My girlfriend was bugging me for weeks to fix that. :D
