How Do I boot into Safe Mode?

F8 IS NOT WORKING FOR ME ANYMORE. I just got a new motherboard - ASUS K8V SE DE, and it wont let me boot into windows xp safe mode by push F8 anymore( instead a list of boot devices comes up). How do I get into safe mode w/ this new mobo!?

yea i bet its the function button,, all new lines of microsoft and logitech have the function button.. w/o it turned on you can't use the normal f keys
 
on my old motherboard with SAME KEYBOARD, F8 worked perfect. Like I said, a different list of items comes up( boot devices ) not safe mode.
 
IF you can't get it into via F8 just turn turn the PC off when you get to the Black XP splash screen.

It will go into safe mode itself next time you boot.
 
thats bull shit, there has to be a proper way to boot up in safe mode, lol. please any one?
 
You just have to wait a second longer. My Asus P4P800 does that too if you just hit F8 as soon as it starts to boot.
