well, this belongs in the general mayham section but i cant post in there so...

How did u get screwed over today?

first off, i was at my aunt and uncle's house opening presents and then when everyone left the room, i was wondering, hey, i didnt get a present from my aunt and uncle, so i go up to my aunt and asked, "what did u get me for christmass?" and she was like, fuck, i forgot and then she ran in a room, grabbed a card, and put $100 in it and said merry christmas! i was like cool, i didnt really care. then she asked me what i got and i didnt get her gift, i open a present that had my name on it and it was a sweater that a old man would wear (im 15) and i had a funny look on my face and she was like, shit, thats not for u and then handed me the present labeled for the guy that the sweater was for and it had two shirts for me in it. this really didnt bug me and was rather funny. after that, she sees me and slipped me one of those $1 scratch lottery tickets and i just slipped it in my pocket.

and now on the way home, it was dark and i managed to read the rules dispite of the darkeness, it said that u could win up to $25,000 and u had to match up 3 of the same numbers to win. i grabbed a quarter from my sister and strated scratching. then i was like, "Holy Shit, I WON" i got 3 $25,000 numbers and i was so happy i was histerical, and as u imagin the first thing that poped in my head was to get the most kick-ass computer that money can buy!!! , then i read the claiming information, and it went down hill from there...and it goes something like this...

man i got so pissed but at the same time i was laughing my ass off, man i'm gona kill my aunt the next time i see her(j/k)

so, did anyone else get screwed over today?
 
That's not really screwed over. Certainly not when compared to reviewing your order from Newegg and seeing that they placed an order for the wrong headphones and that they've already shipped, leaving you no choice but to wait for them to come and then go from there.

There are thousands upon thousands of children that get nothing for Christmas. Maybe donate that money to charity. Maybe give to someone, for once?

Yeah, your aunt gives you $100 and you think almost nothing of it? My relatives haven't sent me anything for Christmas in the past five years. The last thing my Grandparents gave me for Christmas was a card with a ten dollar bill inside of it and that must've been six or seven years ago.
 
omfg is it only poor people on this forum? someone else got chewed out for being ungrateful because he wanted to make sure he got the right GT from his dad for christmas. people are entitled to be ungrateful, hatefilled and bitter.

next, your aunt swears too much. third, yeah, for an aunt, 100 bucks is a really good deal. usually non-immediate relatives (aunt uncle great aunt etc.) give 10 to 25. grandmothers who love to spoil their kids give 50 or more. i guess theres some sort of heirarchy of monetarty gifts based on relational status. lastly though - its good that you can laugh at the whole ticket thing. i wouldn't be pissed though, but vengeful! this is a great opportunity to bond with your aunt. if only for the sole purpose of every year knowing you will probably be able to get each other back and forth with prank gifts, and share in some good laughs. the gift isn't as important as the family anyway. so make the most, and make some good family home video blackmail ! hey at least if you pull it off well enough you could try to win ten grand on one of those funniest home video shows. eh Merry Christmas

ok, maybe i am a bit spoiled but $100 from my aunt and uncle is normal....comsidering i got a total of about $700 for christmas (hehe, i know its a lot but all i asked is was money), even though i was not expecting nearly that much, i must have been a good boy this year.

and im the shallow one? u guys are just mad that u are poor, and dishing out $3000 on a computer is not that much to save up if u have a REAL job and doesnt mean ur rich. hell i herd people showing off their $5,000 computer but they still live in a small apartment! i am 15, i am STILL a KID! sure when im older i wont really expect as much from my parents/aunts/uncles/grandparents(by the way, my grandpartent doesnt even live in the same country so i NEVER got a gift from her) or anyone else but i am a kid i like to live it up while i can!
 
I got some nice gifts but my grandpa usually gives me $100.00 every year and this year he didn't. :(
 
and another thing, i see u guys bitch out way too many people, lighten up, normal people have real lives outside their computers and remember how the natural light of the sun looks/feels like,

and lets just get back on topic and not have people bitch about how their life didnt turn out to be as great as they thought it would! (i am not yelling at everyone, i normally dont act like such a nasty person but what nerves some people have)

....i am not directing my anger at everyone but just the few(well, pretty much the majority of the posters) that pissed me off.....to everyone else, HAPPY HOLIDAYS and to all a good night!

...and no, in the end i didnt really get screwed over after all, in fact i walked out with an extra $100, but i just wanted to share my story and the title seemed good at the time and was hopeing this would become a good thread....

i got screwed over when a guy left me negative heat for "selling" him a 9800 pro when i never had one and the real reason is because iw ouldnt let him buy my ram for $20 less than what i wanted........

people suck ass...ya kno?

but i got $100 from my great uncle today :)
and UT2k4 FINALLY....and a big ass red sox WS blanket(sp?)
