Hi,

I'm in a dilemma, want the 144Hz Asus, but am used to 24" 16:10 LCD which seems totally optimal for my gaming.

I wan't dual screen setup, 2560x1440+1920x1080, 27"+27" or 27"+23". Gaming will be on the 1080p monitor.

- Primary LCD 27":
ASUS PB278Q

- Secondary right now Samsung 245B
I may replace it with:

27" Asus VG278HE (144Hz)
or
23" Asus VG236HE (120Hz)

I think 27" will be to big for gaming, I'm totaly used to the 24" right now, distance, but the 23" is not 144Hz (and smaller 3D, but i will not use much 3D). The 27" has worse pixel pitch.

Any input would really help,

Dude I'm on the same boat! I got a Benq XL2420TX and I'd like a 27'' 2560x1440 (either the ASUS PB278Q or Samsungs newest series 9 27'') I'd use my Benq for FPS and 3D games like Diablo 3 and Battlefield 3 and use the 27'' for productivity and photo's, but the question is will my GTX 690 handle running both at the same time?

Like say im playing on my Benq but browsing on my 27? I'm tempted in the Asus because of the cost.

Yes and your card is great. Also you can't play BF3 for real and at the same time browse :p.

When i game i will use only the 1920x1080 monitor.

Work i will use both.

My problem is with the monitor size for gaming, 23 or 27". If the 23" would be 144Hz i would have a winner (even not having big 3D, but at the end how much 3D will we use, not much).

Im in a similar boat, currently I have a 27" 1920x1200 and a 22" 1680x1050. Debating if I should Upgrade to a 27" 1440p and a 22" or 23" 1080/1200p secondary/side screen. Einer 27" 1080p is soso depending on the dpi/ppi of the screen. I'll post a picture of how your setup might look.

Tnx, 27" + 27" would be the nicest. But yes question if i could live with the dot pitch and size.

Considering 24" Benq XL2420TX, but they are expensive.

I will first buy the 1440p 27", try the size and than see what to do.

Sounds good, I'm partially debating if I want the Asus 27" with perfect warranty 3/3/1 (hoping the 6bit panel is a typo) or get a Catleap SEi(No speakers) which I consider a gamble or the Samsun 850 with the usb 3.0 hub. Knowing me I will read a few review of the Asus and then most likely get that one and an 23" Asus PB series 1200p for my side screen.

I for my self need at least 1440p for work and 23" fastest TN panel for gaming (maybe 24 or 27", we will see).
