I need to kill this card, without voiding the warranty

Probably so he can get a new one? I don't see why though.

I guess one step would be to unplug the fan on it, overclock it, and throw it to the wolves with some high-gpu intensive applications.
 
If you want to RMA the card, just pop off the HS fan and bend it/contort it so it breaks the little motor without making the fan look physically broken, and send it back saying the fan died

Yeah, but then they'd probably just fix the fan and send it right back to him.

I think he's aiming for something that would probably be easier just to replace via warranty than vix. Like a core meltdown :)

He could always throw it in front of a industrial heater, wait an hour, then pop it in the machine and see if it faults.
 
I dont want to fry the whole mobo trying to melt the core of the vidcard hehe.. but i guess i have to take the risk

So thats it then, unplug the hs/f and OC it ?

OK say it with me...what you are doing is fucking over us LEGIT consumers....what you are doing is destroying a perfectly good VC so you can RMA it and get a "new" one or a "newer" one. Why? Because your a dick, it's people like you who ruin a real legit RMA for those of us who really need to send something in.
I swear they should start banning those who even ask a stupid question like this in order to fuck over honest people. You sir should be castrated with a wooden spoon :mad:

You could always try Pissing on it but you have to make sure you are real close to it or it won't work...........If all goes well you'll fry the Card and your ability to Introduce other Pricks into the Gene pool!!! Good Luck!!!!
 
you can try taking the yellow lead and the black lead from your power supply and sticking them to your tounge

It's needle dicks like this that abuse the RMA system and end up driving up the final price of cards. No wonder flag ship cards cost 400-500 bucks. I also hope you get jackshit if you RMA it.
 
If you wanna meltdown the video card then simply plug in your computer, hold on to it firmly, and sit down in the bathtub. If for some reason that doesn't work, try dropping in a hairdryer too.

It's a win win win situation, 1)you get to meltdown your vid card. 2)The video card manufacturers do not get ripped off. 3)And we get to read a great Darwin Award story online.

Don't try to destroy a perfectly good video card. That just isn't very smart. Sell the one you have on e-bay and then go shovel some snow to earn enough to buy what you really want. If you try to screw over someone then you will eventually get screwed even worse. It's called karma and there is no escape from it. Wise up man and for God's sake get a job.
