I thought about putting the hds in backwords but i dont really wanna do that, i cant really hide the ide wires since they each have a master and slave on them
 
i dont really want to send things through mb mounting holes, umm is there a way i could like put my ide drives in the bays where my cd drives are?
 
those zalman hdd coolers are pretty expensive... what's the performance like on them? do they make a $30 difference?

When I first built my system, I didn't plug in the 4 pin and it worked fine.. While cleaning up my wiring job, i noticed it was unplugged and just put it back in for the hell of it.. I also thought it was compeletely necessary, but it ran without it?? :confused: BTW Im running a p4..


Back on topic: You could just try tucking some of those wires away and get some sleeving.. I was skeptical about sleeving myself, but said what the hell and baught a pack for like $7... It was the best $7 I ever spent.. Not only does it look tons better but it also allowed more airflow which dropped my idle temps by almost 2c..
 
one thing you can do is you can take the wire from the usb on the back plate that is cutting across everthing and tuck it.. run it between that pci card at the botom and the mobo then under and back up, that should make that a little better

I fliped the HDs in my pc upside down, so that you molex is on the other side and then hidden by the ide

feel free to cut wires and extend them so you dont have power connectors where you dont need them or cant reach them.


it looks like you have power coming down, to a molex and then going back up so the last molex on the line is above the middle one. and the middle one is pluged into a fan, then to your vid card. Id say rotate that fan 1/2 way around so the power comes out of the lower (looking from the case wall) back, and tuck it under the vid card, plug that into the vid card like you have it, and then swap the last molex on the line with the middle one. so it goes psu, optica drive, fan vidcard, not psu fan vidcard, optical drive

and the sleaving on that little bit of wire for the fan patchthrew makes it just look bigger and bulkier, so eitehr use something smaller, dont use anything, or maybe just paint your power cables
