i play alot of games on my laptop (Sony Vaio PCG-K315B) and as the games graphics have improved during the years the laptop has not and games like battle for middle earth 2 and battlefeild 2 i am now unable to play as they need a 128mb graphics card to be able to play them. Unfortunatly i have a Radion IGP 345M which is now not able to coupe with the graphics power able to play the games and therefore i am asking wether there is a way i can improve the graphics card on my laptop and if so which graphics card would u recomend

thanks for reading :)

NO.
You need a new laptop.
Very few laptops have options for upgrades, but those that do, do not have IGP but some form of PCIe for laptops (which OI cant recall the name of) that both NVidia and ATI support as of a ~year ago.
SO regretfully, wanna play? get a desktop.....

If your lappy's graphics shares system memory there MAY be a setting in the bios to up the mem it is allowed to use.. That may make it possible to play the games you mentioned, but, they still will prolly not play well.. Altcon is right, you most likely cannot upgrade you lappy's graphics.. A newer lappy or desktop is needed..

Yes you need to get a new laptop. If your budget is at like 1k or like 1200 then i suggest you go with the asus S96J. It has an x1600, which will be able to play most games at max settings or medium settings because of the low resolution 14" screen. If your going to be gaming, then don't get anything under an x1400. Oh yeah, if you don't know laptop video cards, heres something
1.7900 gtx 512 mb
2. 7900 gtx 256 mb
3. 7900 gs/7800 gtx-about the same
4. 7800 go
5. x1600/7600 go-trade off in games
6. go6600/x700-trade off and about the same
7. x1400
8. 7400 go-only good in a notebook if screen in small, like 12", like the dell 1210. Because of the low resolution, you'll be able to play games on medium settings, except for oblivion.

keep that laptop you have for class or w/e you want, but get a desktop. No one buys a laptop for any gaming if they want to set settings to high at 1280x1024 and feel no lag. I think it's time you went to a desktop. Conroe is right around the corner now, 21 days till intel releases it. Wait till then.

but if you insist on a laptop, I'd say an Asus laptop. Those are upgradable (atleast from what I've seen). And when you're looking at processors, look for the Core Duo // Core 2 Duo (once merom is released). Pick that up. They're dual core and powerful
