Haven't followed hardware in a long time. I only play League of Legends with it now and it does really well there but am thinking about getting back into heavier PC use, more/beefier gaming etc. Is it worth it to upgrade the monitor to at least a 24" / higher res, and of course the video card at this point or wait much longer for a complete overhaul?

video card, definitely. other than that and your monitor, the system isn't bad at all.

im running a 7970 in my sig rig and i dont feel the need to upgrade my mobo/cpu quite yet...

agree. get a current midrange card and a 1080p monitor and youll be good for a while still. i dont plan on upgrading my 860 until at least the next generation, possibly the one after that.

That's practically state of the art! (check my sig) now that is...."behind the times" LMAO.

Corsair HX620W

p.s. wow those Korean 27" 1440p's look interesting, that plus a good video card...? Hmmm..

Well that PSU should be able to handle most single-GPU setups. A tad old but still serviceable.
