How are LG Electronics LCD displays?

That model LG you are looking at (L203wt) is the real deal. I paid $500 for mine at Best Buy several months ago; so, you have the best 20"ws (at least in terms contrast/video detail, sharpness of text) on the market at a steal for $350 (Newegg). I can't speak for the gamers, nor for the professional photo types; but for the movie/video and general PC user, I can say that the user reviews for this product on the Newegg site are right on.

Wow, this thing is cheap! Any more personal experiences from anyone?

Are you both referring to the same model as one is the sister model doing so much more than the other? I had made up my mind to purchase the simplified version after looking at Samsung's 215 and then found out only the wtx model was available my way. It's also more expensive - I think about $1350 in Australia.

A friend who has always been involved with PCs suggested I buy LG so if you think it is what you're looking for go for it. For an LCD that does so much it seems quite good in all areas from what I've read.

1400:1 contrast ratio on the LG L203WTX?

I was looking at the acer 20" AL2016W which is supposed to be the same as the viewsonic 2025WM but with a glossy screen.

Problems I've found with alot of other monitors (esp larger ones), are input lag, banding and in some cases ghosting/screen blurring in fast motion/fast perspective panning.

I'll have to dig alittle more on this one.
