How are 5770 Cf setups running?

Hi guys I was wondering how the radeon 5770 cf machines are handling current titles bfbc2, codmw2, l4d2 etc.

well, my resolution isn't 'the standard' (mine is 1440x900) but I can max anything out with very playable framerates except Metro 2033 without overclocking (I avg 33FPS on the Metro 2033 benchmark with everything cranked but the dips are a killer). I don't play CoD, but Bad Company 2 runs great and L4D2 runs great.

5770CF is generally comparable to a lone 5870. Although we are not normally advocates of multi-GPU technology, in this instance it does make sense. I think either the drivers are crap or the coding for that game is just horrible.....because I upgraded from a 4870 to a 5850 and saw zero improvement with Metro 2033. Also tried to run a 9600GT with the 5850 for Physx and it didn't make any difference.

Its not 5770 crossfire, but my 5750 crossfire setup has done VERY well for me. I've not done any benchmarking recently, but if my memory serves me properly, I was scaling at about 180-190% of the single card. definitely performing in a very similar range to the 5850. 5770 scaling should be similar and I believe would put you very close to 5870 performance.

Crossfire has it quirks. I have CF 5770 playing at 1680 x 1050 at 76hz.

I played BFBC2 at max in game settings albeit directx 9. Directx 10 and directx 11 crashes for me. I have a weird fps thing happening on initial load of the game. FPS would be at 15 or less then a few seconds later it'll jump to 75 fps+ and stay that way.

CODMW2, only driver that works for me is 10.3 and 10.4. Anything else and I have a weird screen glitched. If I look left or right real quick, it would glided passed where I want and almost do a 180.

All other games I've played, I have in game settings turned to max. Spoiled by the eye candy now.

if you are twitching past where you expect to, then I would check and make sure your mouse sensitivity and make sure you have "enhance pointer precision" set to OFF since it makes the distance of your pointer move increase proportionately to how fast you move your mouse. Doubt its a crossfire/driver issue and I bet it would happen if you turned Xfire off.

Sensitivity is set below 2. Don't have "enhance pointer precision" enable. Can't stand it and screws up my aim.

Doubt its a crossfire/driver issue and I bet it would happen if you turned Xfire off.

Doesn't happen when I play with single card. Doesn't happen when I'm using 10.4. Happens on 10.5 and up. Unfortunately I can't stay on 10.4 due to Starcraft 2 glitches. Missing terrain issues.

I haven't played it since I upgraded to 10.8. So it's not a big deal. When it works, it's great. When it doesn't, meh.

Have worked out great for me.

From what I have read from hanging out at online forums most people that run Xfire Hd5770s are pleased with the results.

I wish someone (or some site) would do a driver comparison (maybe even 3 or 4) over lots of games. I have no interest in buying a 5770 but it would be an interesting read.
