• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

How about it Bennett?

I think that ALL moderators should be required to use their real names and list the real name of the city their snail mail arrives to them through. Just to name a couple (easy to find - NOT "picking on" anyone. NO tears from these two please.): MajorDomo from Tacky Tourist Capital??? Lethal from Lost Angeles??? Try to find either of those cities via an internet search! (I will concede that one is easy to guess.) Anyone not having the balls to post their full name and city of residence shouldn't be a moderator.

I believe a real (i.e. monitored) e-mail address should also be a requirement.

Allowing moderators to be anonymous is akin to allowing Hitler's hoodlums to go free because they were just following orders.

I personally would prefer if it were law that everyone be required to use their real name on the internet. Where problems arise, zip codes, area codes, etc. code be tacked on to further distinguish one from the other.

Are you serious? What does their location have to do with anything? And for the record, the two you mentioned are admins, not mods.

you go first...what's your real name, SS#, address. ;)

dude, you have 16 posts. And you think you are qualified to tell us what is wrong with the [H]? Why is Lethal's real name pertanant? Just refer to her as Lethal...its not like its Mod #1, Mod #2 etc...Any time you see Lethal or Major Domo or any of the others, you know their internet handle, and can contact them via that...

I think all mod/admin information should be hidden from NorthCaddoRB personally...

Why yes...that would be great! Imagine if I were a mod, having random strangers who I pissed off on the internet because they can't read, show up at my door and call me all of the time......

Let me make a prediction for you: NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN If you have a truely serious issue, I'm sure you could find a way to contact Kyle. I can't see how you could want more than that, seeing as how he's the owner and all. If you think one mod in particular is a problem, you can either stay out of their forum, or make a case with Lethal or MajorDomo if talking with the mod isn't working.

Look, I know why you're posting this, but the fact that the individual in question is/was a mod really shouldn't play into it. Kyle has already stated that he'll hand out any info he has at his discretion to someone in a deal gone bad. When it comes to FS/FT, you have to take personal responsiblity for checking the deal out, mod or not.

I'll just sit back now, from my lovely perch "Atop the [H] Fireplace". ;)

agreed with the above posters

not gonna happen
stupid/pointless suggestion

(but at least its in the right spot ;) )

Maybe its just because Ive never been in trouble with the mods, but if you are having issues maybe its not the mods that are the problem.

Think Kyle gets pissed at nonsense threads with his name in the title? I mean if a thread title has your name in it, you have to look...

Maybe he is used to it, but it seems like that would drive me mad...although I have yet to see my name in a thread title :(

People's real names and locations are of no real value for any legitimate purpose. For an Internet forum moderation point of view, Bob Villa from Boston, Mass is no more meaningful than Lethal from Lost Angeles. Once nice feature of the Internet is the psudo-anonymity, and I somehow doubt that North Caddo is the OP's real name.

Ya know, when we ban someone, we'll usually let them back in if they can fly under the radar and learn from their past mistakes and follow the rules.

NorthCaddoRB's last acct was permabanned by me for, as I put it in his user notes, "Being a total ass." As I said in my closing statement in the thread that got him banned, "If you cannot behave civilly in these forums, you are not welcome."
