Hotmail flagging my e-mails as junk

I have been having trouble sending e-mails to my friend who uses a hotmail account, who says he isn't recieving my mails. I decided to troubleshoot by creating a hotmail acct myself to see if its a hotmail problem. Sure enough, all my e-mails I sent to my hotmail account were sent straight to the junk folder.

What the hell is going on w/ these guys? I am using my ISP's pop/smtp servers (cox communications) for the e-mail I am sending. Has anyone had the same problem?

...really nothing you can do

...try adding you address into address book, or use filters to filter into a folder...

(i do not have hotmail, so i do not know the features)

HIs friend just has to open one of the emails and click on the "this is not junk" option.

well I think its rediculous that it was flagged as junk in the 1st place. I'll go ahead and tell him to flag it as not junk.
