So, I'm working on a watercooling project, involving an IKEA cabinet and images/action figures from Star Wars Episode V, specifically the Hoth Battle. Having an issue with cable management though. Any ideas/comments are welcome. Thanks!

Thats pretty cool! Are those stickers of some sort on there? I would maybe have tried milling some channels in for the wires and then putting the overlay on top to hide them.

Those are vinyl stickers that I got professionally printed from images made in adobe illustrator.

That's not a bad idea, though I already have water flowing in the box, and its a PITA to drain the loop, then remove the top to do so. Any other suggestions?

I appreciate the feedback!

I do not know if this is a suggestion, and I guess it is more of a comment. "Cool!" That is nice. It is neat to do your own project. As long as it makes you happy then it should be good to go. I would personally make it neater though. I do not know much about water cooling, however, it just looks kind of messy. Is there a way to route the hoses along the side of the box/case!? hehe

Anyways, looks isn't everything. I just put my own 3-fan laptop cooler together and it is horrible looking. However, it works wonders personally speaking!

So I guess I shouldn't judge since I am in the same boat.
Anyways, congratulations.
Cool ........ it looks pretty complex.

Keep going, dude!

Thanks for your kind words! Of course I'm working to make it neater. The tubing looks a bit different now that it is all connected. Either way, the issue I'm having is more with the cable bundling at the top, which is still there.

I'm glad your laptop cooler is working well!

Thanks for the comments.

Option 1) remove cabling and lights at top, replace with small project box and Cree LED circuit, with LEds run in series.

Option 2) build an attic and basement?

Both great ideas! I'll have to look into the first option, though the second option sounds easier. Maybe just an attic with a piece of wood near the top? Though it's going to be difficult with the water already flowing. I guess I'll have to drain the loop and take the ceiling off to do it. Thanks for your input!!

Sure, or plexy. Plexy would be kinda cool if you had a way to paint it like sky, but left semi transparent near the lights. I dunno why I just thought of that or if it is even feasible.

Drape white felt cloth (or something similar) over the internals. It'll let air flow (a little bit) and resemble snow drifts. Or use white styrofoam peanuts with pea size pellets covering the rest. And paint the parts white, so they blend.
