Only 1GB for Home Premium? Is that a decent amount? You can add memory to Dells, right?

Every time I build something pretty cheap on Dell, the tax always kills me.

thanks hadez for posting specs was a bit busy earlier so i had little time to type.

this seems like a damn good deal.. i wish i had the money for it i'd buy it in a second and just swap out the motherboard and bam got a damn good comp and can oc as much as you want :D

The box can take up to 4GB of ram, which is decent, though some other boards (which I've seen on newegg) can support 8GB, 16GB, or 32GB of ram.

Here are Crucial's upgrades for that system: http://www.crucial.com/store/listparts.aspx?model=Dimension+C521
(I only list them, because their site is easy to use.)

For $20 more you can upgrade to a Dell 22" E228WFP.

That monitor is okay:
Max Res: 1680x1050
Response Time: 5ms
Contrast: 800:1
Pitch: 0.282mm
Brightness: 300 cd/m²
Viewing Angle: ±160°/±160°
Inputs: VGA, DVI-D with HDCP

---

I'd rather run XP x64 .. don't think I'll ever upgrade to Vista, not really worth it for me. Probably will switch to Linux, once Win XP x64 gets phased out.

But isn't it a better deal than the 20" Samsung for just $20 more?

This case uses 1/2 height graphics cards. That pretty much makes it useless for gaming..

You shouldn't be buying it to game. They only offer x1300 cards for it anyway.
