Amazon.com - Bissell 86T3/86T3Q Big Green Deep Cleaning Professional Grade Carpet Cleaner Machine - Carpet Steam Cleaners
the big green is going for 300 again!
I own it and love it minus one thing. You can't use water above 140 degrees. I have tested this on 2 units...a part breaks because it is merely super glued and super glue with detergent breaks down at 140-150 degrees. Also the hose can't use anything hotter than 130-140 too because it'll break.
It is by far the best carpet cleaner besides 100% professional. My uncle has special professional machines and this thing does a close to those jobs. Not as good but damn close. I have jerry rigged mine to use 190 degree water since my carpet were trash and 190 degree water does make a very tangible difference. I'll post pictures later on what breaks at that temp.
For 300 this is a great deal especially if you got dogs and high traffic areas on your carpet.
EDIT you can see the flow indicator and regulator is the weak spot* and the super glue breaks down with very hot water. A really dumb design because 170-190 degrees makes a difference on super soiled carpets. You can see where I tried a certain tube and it kinda blew up I found that a thick vinyl from home depot works and can withstand the heat and pressure well enough....its not rated for that temp or pressure but it has survived with some effort ~40 uses. You could transplant the spare tubing from the flow indicator and bypass if you wanted to but its more work and harder to "fix" back to normal to warranty it. My method works for the most part so I can put it back to normal in ~20 mins to RMA it if needed.
You can also just not use super hot water....but i rather overclock my carpet cleaner
If you buy it and want more details on how to jerry rig it just PM me. I can take more photos if needed. It won't be anytime soon due to i am very busy over the next week or two before i leave the country for a month.
