I built this as a small HTPC about a year ago and noticed that the screen would occasionally go black for about 2-3 seconds when watching movies (bluray especially). I used speedfan and it told me that my GPU is 76C.

Is 76C livable? Is it normal, or will I do damage to it in the long run? Thanks.

My 4890 hits 82*C with the stock cooler.

Id say your fine, maybe stick some heatsinks on your memory modules. Is the video card fanless?

This is an integrated GPU, part of an ITX board. Would that make a difference concerning the temperature?

The temps look fine, though lower temps are always a plus (more stable, better for hardware reliability, etc).

If you want to bring them down a bit, try to change the thermal paste on the heatsinks for the mobo. Also, you can buy a cheapish 40mm fan, do the 7v mod on it (google it, combine the 12 and 5v leads to undervolt the fan), and hot glue it to the heatsink for some active cooling.

EDIT:
Also, verify the temps with open hardware monitor or hardware monitor (more accurate than speedfan in my experiences)

He did say it is an integrated GPU which means his northbridge is getting to those temps... Those temps on a northbridge are far more disconcerting than if it was a dedicated GPU.. I would try opening the case up and putting a fan directly on the northbridge, if the problem goes away then you know its overheating...

Joe...
