My system specs are below. Can the processor become unstable if it gets too warm, say 50'C on an OC? even when it runs fine and stable while cool? Just wondering because my system shut down while gaming. I forgot to crank my radiator fans up and i just wanted to know if heat was the probable cause of system instability?

First off, 50C on watercooling is a bit warm dontcha think?

Look in your bios, there should be an option in there somewhere that shuts the computer down if the processor reaches a certain temp.

50'C was because i had my fans on low power while gaming. besides i do think that is a bit warm too. the lowest temp for an auto shut down is 60'C.

What are you using to monitor your temps? Could be the sensor is reading wrong

Try setting the shut down temp in the bios up to 75C or so and see if it still shuts down

i dont think the auto shut down is enabled in my BIOS. Oh, and there is a correction. it restarted not shut down. in monitoring my temps i used the Gigabyte Utility Manager with my mobo. the air that was blowing out of my rad was pretty warm at the time too. my CPU puts out about 118watts of heat.
