So, I completed my first build (thanks to all the replies previous) in July of this year.
I'm using a Corsair 620HX to power everything. Don't really have an issue with output, but noticed my system was running a teeny bit hot. I took the side off (Silverstone TJ09) and felt the PSU. It was warm (maybe even a little hot) to the touch. I know it is supposed to be pretty silent and it is. I assume to be pretty silent, the fan is running slower.
The PSU is positioned with the intake fan down sucking air from outside the case. The TJ09 has a port for PSU air intake. I can barely feel any air coming from outtake at the back of the PSU. Room temp is pretty good (it is winter and all).
I believe the heat from the PSU is contributing to the heat overall in the case and am slightly concerned by that. Should I be able to feel the air coming from the PSU fan? If so, is my PSU faulty if I don't? I don't have a temperature gauge, so I don't know exactly how hot the PSU casing is.
Am I worrying too much?
