Hooking your processor fan to fan controller?

thats what i do, i turn it down when im not playing video games, then turn it up, but be careful sometimes i forget and my game locks up lol

One thing you have to watch out for though, is some fans startup only when a certain amount of power is put into them (like the tornado) but can then be backed down to lower voltages and will run fine. So everytime you turn off your computer and then back on make sure your fan is above the starting level so your fan will turn on.

Ok I did it but my mobo keeps giving me an alarm with no cpu fan plugged in, anyway around that?

Open up the BIOS and turn off the feature.

Probably under CPU-Health.
