I don't think I should be able to do this... (Running at 1440p, Firefox 57)(To be clear, I can scroll the homepage (and any article page) left and right a significant distance)

OK, I get what you are saying now. When you load the page, it loads looking "right," right?

Then you scroll it sideways and you get what you have posted in your first post, correct?

Not quite, at no point does the page load 'correctly', it always has the option to scroll left/right. This only just started today-ish.

Hmm, that site skin ad has been up since the 20th. No code changes. Maybe clear your cache? Think the browser is remember page position? Even with the window spread wide on this 4K, it lines up right for me on load on all three browsers. If I intentionally scroll it side to side, it of course messes the alignment up.

I think that's it, you shouldn't be allowed to/need to (for lack of a better term) scroll horizontally unless the site has more information than your browser window can display. I think its a layout problem.
    EDIT
poking at it a bit with a friend of mine, and he said that the ad on the right side extends outside the page area

I will have the guy that does the [H] site code give it a look. Thanks for the heads-up. Sorry for the issue.

Just a little bit of added info. I'm on Win 7 using IE 11.

IF I scroll to the left this is what I get.

Yeah, but why would you scroll to the left?

Kyle_Bennett Was anything ever done to address this? Still seeing the issue, it has to do with the ad on the right side extending outside of the page area for some reason.
