Well I just got two brand new computers, and they are around 80 ft. from my dsl router. I had some CAT 5 ethernet cable in my garage, so I laced it through my attic, poked small holes in my closet ceiling, and then crimped my own ethernet plugs. My router is set up, the Verizon DSL router, which then goes into my Linksys Broadband wireless router, which also has 4 jacks for ethernet chord. My question is, does the distance of the ethernet chord have any affect on my latency, and does the wireless router limit the speed of my ethernet chord???
Thanks,
~Jay

The range of your data cable is just over 300 feet.
Hard twists, bends, or kinks in the cable can have a negative effect on the signal.
Running next to power and high emi & rfi sources can degrade the signal
Poor quality cable or poor crimping of the rj45 jack can have a negative effect on the signal
The wireless signal won't effect the wired signal.
