Opera is the winner, go for it!

I've seen the CPU useage bounce with Opera and flash pages, but the weird thing was if I scrolled the flash ad off the screen, the CPU utilization went down. Tried Firefox, stayed with Opera.

I've got a pair of these 414 pointers folding away at home, nad my PPD has dropped over 100 PPD, or more than 20%. These cores have point values skewed all out of proportion to the time it takes to fold 'em. And just for the record, my Athlon XP 2400+ @ stock and my Athlon64 3200+ @ 2.1 are folding them at almost the same speed, the only difference being accountable to the extra 100 mhz on the 64.

Blah! I hope Stanford doubles the points these things are worth. They are taking about 20 hours longer than a 600 pointer but worth only 66% as many points.
 
My production is also down significantly, due to lack of big WUs. I'm serious--from just under 500 ppd to around 250. Now, granted I only have 5 machines folding for me, but 3 or 4 of them are set up to grab big WUs. Now that they're all grabbing these little dinky 30-50 point WUs, the production stinks.

BTW, there's a rather lengthy (and, at times, rather heated) discussion on the topic of bonuses for big WUs going on over at the folding community forum.

 
I've taken a similar hit, mostly because I enjoyed seeing my P4's tear through the QMD's though, those units ran fast. As it stands right now, my PPD is looking to be more than havled and that is assuming that things start to even out and my boxen start turning in work around the clock. The funny part is, my 5 boxen haven't turned in as many points in the first 4 days of this month as they had during a single day for the last 3 or 4 months. My WU per day is down as well.

 
It's good to know I'm not the only one with production numbers way down. In the last week, my numbers are down about 1000PPD. That is partly because of QMDs going, but I only had 2 boxen crunching those. I think the worst part was catching a 722 pointer on my P3-850, and a 414 pointer on an Athlon xp 2400+. Oh well, I'll have to wait a few more days to hit 800K.

 
I had 5 QMD boxen going , so this has knocked me from ~1800ppd to 846ppd !!

I just looked at Stanford's Project page and I see that those 722 & 723 point WU are gone now too. Biggest WU is those 600 pointers. And I really dislike those 414 point WU.

I need to make some serious configuration & flag changes, but not sure what to do just yet.
